Jacket

Choose your shoulder type based on the use of your jacket and the amount of padding you want. Standard provides more padding for a more professional look, soft has very little padding for casual comfort, and roped is the same as standard but it's "roped" appearance accentuates the shoulders and is more traditional

Notch lapels are the most widely used and most versatile. Peak lapels are for a touch of flair. Slim lapels are more fashion forward, noticeably slimmer than the average suit.

Indochino recommends the modern gentleman wear a notch or peak lapel.

A welted pocket is the standard chest pocket, while a patch pocket is more casual.

It is recommended that a patch chest pocket appears in conjunction with other patch pockets on the jacket.

Two button suits are often your best choice. The three button roll-over is a nod to traditional tailoring, while one button suits are more trendy. Three button suits are a matter of preference and work well with a taller frame.

Double-breasted jackets offer a bolder yet elegant look, and are recommended to be worn with a peak lapel.

Button color is a personal preference but brown buttons are recommended for most suits. Black buttons are typically for black or dark suits while cream buttons are ideal for lighter colored ones. Satin covered buttons are reserved for tuxedos.

Appropriate for any occasion, flap pockets are the most versatile option and traditionally the standard on suit jackets. More polished and sleek, jetted pockets are ideal for formal wear. Dynamic and sporting, slanted pockets, with or without flaps, are more fashion forward and perfect for smart casual and weekend looks.

One and two vent options are interchangeable and a matter of personal preference. No vent jackets are reserved for tuxedos.

Pant

Indochino always endorses pants without pleats (flat front). For the man preferring pleats, please choose so accordingly.

Hem finishes are preferential and serve a different purpose for different pants. For dress pants, a blind hem is the standard finish but cuffs are good for taller men, as they help break the body up into sections. For casual pants, opt for a topstitch or cuff.

Sleek and functional, belt loops offer the option to accessorize, while a plain waistband offers a more minimalist finish.
